As the New Year begins we face the fast approaching tax season, this is a reminder that it is time to file for your homestead exemption.

Coweta County now allows for online filing by going to their website: https://www.coweta.ga.us/government/tax-assessors-office/exemptions 

Fayette County requires you to apply in person at the Tax Commissioner’s office.  You can find more details at their website: https://www.fayettecountypay.com/exemptions.html 

All exemptions require that the owner occupy the home on January 1 and must be applied for on or before April 1, 2022!
